New York City Home Price Index

Clear Capital reported that New York City home prices rose 2.1% quarter over quarter and 5.5% year over year in September, making the city the strongest-performing metropolitan area in its index. The report also noted that national price appreciation was decelerating.

Realtor.com found that New York metro active listings increased 6.3% year over year in September, while the median listing price fell 2.3% to $742,000. Price reductions became somewhat more common, although supply remained tight and homes sold slightly faster than a year earlier.
